Anthony Kioko

Anthony Kioko

Chief Executive Officer

Anthony Kioko is an East Africa Agribusiness expert with 20 years’ experience managing public – private sector engagement initiatives. An agronomist by training, his previous management positions were at Oil Crop Development Ltd (Unilever Kenya Ltd subsidiary then), East African Breweries Ltd (a Diageo Plc Company). He was a beneficiary of the 2017 USDA FAS Cochran Fellowship Program, on Agricultural Extension and Farmer Leadership. Anthony serves on several boards including the Seed Trade Association of Kenya (STAK), Agriculture Industry Network (AIN) and is a Council Member of the Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET). Anthony is also a member of several Technical Working Groups in the Agriculture Sector including the Joint Thematic Working Group of the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock Fisheries and Cooperatives (MOALF&C) and ASNET.

Fred Muma

Fredrick Odhiambo

Finance and Administration Manager

Fredrick oversees the finance and administration functions of accounting, financial management, human resources, administration and their strategic contribution to CGA’s work. He is a financial expert with over seven years of experience in auditing, financial management, grants management, project management and administration gained from the private non-governmental sectors. Fredrick is currently pursuing M. Sc. Finance (Finance and Investment) from the University of Nairobi; he holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance degree from Kenyatta University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Fredrick is also a Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) by the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI). Fredrick joined CGA in January 2014 prior to which he worked as an audit associate at the Crowe Horwarth EA Audit firm.

Alvin Ogolla

Finance and Administrative Assistant

A result oriented individual, passionate about organizational financial goals. With over five years working experience, he assists in the administrative and financial roles at CGA. Alvin holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University with training on Financial Modelling and Data analysis. He has previously worked with Kenya Association of Hotelkeepers & Caterers (KAHC), Tribe Hotel and Brocahoto Sacco Ltd.

Wight Ndambuki

Project Accountant

Wight has working experience in financial and administrative support with bias in accounting functions. With over 3 years’ experience in finance and accounting on programme-based grants such as UN – World Food Programme, USAID, AGRA, FERT, RTI International, Australian High Commission -Kenya, AATF, Netherlands Space Office, Christian Aid, IFPRI and the Business Advocacy Fund. Wight has passion for numbers and skilled in financial accountability and reporting. Wight is at an advanced stage towards full professional training in Certified Public Accounting.  Previously Wight has received training in Ethics and Communication at Strathmore University.

Membership,Policy and Advocacy Manager

Agricultural Innovation Expert with background training in Agricultural Rural Innovations Studies. With over 15 years of experience, Violet has expertise in the areas of Agricultural Innovations including Climate Smart Agriculture, Agricultural Policy Development, Institutional Development and Strengthening, Agricultural Advisory and Extension, Agricultural Product Value Chain Development, Gender Analysis and Mainstreaming, Governance and Leadership of Agri-Enterprises and Public Policy Lobby and Advocacy Processes. Violet is also skilled and facilitating public-private sector dialogue forums.

Oswald Miriti

Project Manager

Agronomist with gained experience in Project Planning and Management with over 18 years of practice working with Agri-based private sector. With a background training in agronomy, Miriti has expertise in Farmer Mobilization for Collective Production and Marketing, Good Agricultural Practices, Value Chain Development, Project Development, Coordination and Partnership Management. Miriti has training from on Post Harvest Management from Louisiana State University Courtesy of United State Department of Agriculture (USDA), Fertilizers Advisor Certification and Training Scheme and Basic Certificate in Crop Protection by Basis Registration Limited UK and Integrated Pest Management (Level One) by Dudutech among others.

Field Logistics Support Manager

Samuel Osebe is an experienced strategic project management and implementation expert with over 10 years’ progressive experience gained from working in various capacities. He has successfully supported multiple CGA projects, partners and stakeholders in their business linkage activities including trade fairs. Highly proficient in supply chain / logistics management.

George Mabuka

Project Manager

George has a background in community development with over 13 years of work experience working with farming communities in Kenya, 8 years of which, is in project management at different programs and capacities. Over the years, George is skilled in farmer mobilization, agricultural value chain development, project planning & management. He has also trained on; Participatory Rural Appraisal – Egerton University, Gender and Agriculture value chains – Kigali, Rwanda and Food security and Grain Storage technologies and Management – Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Julius Nyabicha

Julius Methuselah Nyabicha

Project Manager

Julius holds a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management and has cross-border experience in food security and food safety. He has worked in the agriculture sector for Two decades, in both public and private sectors. Julius worked in Tanzania for 8 years supporting smallholder farmers in the fertilizer, horticulture, and post-harvest handling technologies (hermetic bags and Aflasafe bio-pesticide) for the control of aflatoxin in grains and pulses.

John Makuge

Knowledge Management and Learning Officer

Mr.  Makuge  is  well  experienced  in  project  management, Monitoring Evaluation and learning,  agribusiness management supply  Chain management, Training Needs Assessment and Value Chain Analysis. He has a wealth of experience spanning over 6 years in implementation of donor funded projects  accrued from working  programmes and projects funded by (USAID,  DFID, World Bank, WFP) aimed at working  rural smallholder farmers towards increasing agricultural productivity  thereby increasing their food and income security. He is passionate about Monitoring Evaluation and Learnings and working with agri-business value chain actors to derisk  smallholder resource poor farmers in unearthing productivity and food security solutions as well improving youth engagement in agri-business. 

James Mwangangi

James Mwangangi

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

James is an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with cutting-edge expertise in Data and Analytics. He has over four years of previous experience working with Caritas, Kitui as a Data Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist supporting a Carbon-Offset project (FASTENOPFER) and the Agricultural sector (MISEREOR) – (Kitui and Makueni). Mwangangi holds a bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Statistics and is currently enrolled on a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics (MSc DSA) program at the University of Nairobi.

Henry Malonza is an experienced Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation professional with over five years of experience. He specializes in research, Strategic Information, and guiding communities toward economic growth in Livelihood projects funded by major organizations such as USAID and the World Bank. Henry is highly skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting, developing monitoring frameworks, and providing insights for data-driven decision-making. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, is pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management, and is proficient in software such as SPSS, R, Excel, NVIVO, and KOBO ODK for electronic data capture. He is committed to program effectiveness and leverages innovative methodologies and technologies for continuous improvement and accountability.
