
Today, the County Government of Nandi, led by His Excellency Governor Stephen Arap Sang, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Cereal Growers Association (CGA), represented by the CEO Anthony Kioko. The purpose of this MoU is to strengthen the partnership between CGA and the County of Nandi. This includes the collaborative execution of the various initiatives aimed at improving food and nutrition security in the region.
Key CGA initiatives in Nandi County include the Agroforestry Project in partnership with Rabobank and the Promotion of Sustainable Farming Practices and Inclusive Markets and Trade as supported by AGRA. The focus of these initiatives is to boost agribusiness by enhancing capacity building, facilitating technology transfer, creating market linkages, and advocating for supportive policies.
The partnership between CGA and Nandi County represents a mutual dedication to promoting agricultural progress and sustainability, securing a thriving future for the local farming communities.
