The Board and Management of the Cereal Growers Association (CGA) paid a courtesy call to the Cabinet Secretary (CS), Dr. Andrew Mwihia Karanja CS Agriculture and Livestock Development. During the engagement, priority areas of improvement in cereal sub-sector were explored.
 
The discussions covered areas such as access to viable markets, contract farming, research & development and a supportive taxation regime.
The CGA delegation was led by the Board Chairman, Stephanus Kruger and the CEO Anthony Kioko, while the CS team included senior officials from different departments in the Ministry of Agriculture.
 
It was agreed that broader consultations involving other stakeholders will continue in efforts to realize sustainable revitalization of the grain sub-sector.
