
April 2026 was a month of action across the country. From Uasin Gishu to Nakuru to the Western region, CGA’s Agribusiness Coordinators and partners were on the ground — training, connecting farmers to markets, and advocating for better policy. Here’s what happened:
27th AGM — Nakuru
CGA held its 27th AGM, bringing together farmers from Nakuru, Narok, Bomet, Uasin Gishu, and Laikipia counties. and stakeholders to review progress, address high production costs, wheat pricing, taxation, and strengthen advocacy for cereal farmers nationwide.
Kitale Biotechnology Roundtable
CGA, in partnership with Bayer, KALRO, and AATF, hosted the Kitale biotechnology forum, showcasing approved Bt Maize plots, highlighting pest resistance, improved yields, lower pesticide use, and climate resilience.
