On October 9, 2025, the Cereal Growers Association established a collaborative agreement with Machakos County Government aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural transformation throughout the county.
The initiative emphasises climate-adaptive farming methods, environmentally responsible practices, and farmer empowerment to increase yields and build community resilience. The signing ceremony included Hon. Ritah Ndunge, the County Executive Committee Member overseeing agricultural matters, alongside Dr. Osia Mwanje and Josphat Kasyima representing CGA.
The framework supports joint initiatives already underway in the region, including the Sustainable Farming and Inclusive Markets program developed with AGRA, and SMAPIP V executed in partnership with Bayer. This agreement demonstrates CGA’s dedication to advancing sustainable agricultural growth and development.
